Biography and information

Nar. hood. USSR (1963), full member AH the USSR (1958). He graduated from hood. school in Constantinople (1921) and the Academy of arts in Vienna (1924). From 1925 he lived and worked in Armenia. One of the founders of the Armenian branch of AChRs. From 1945 he taught at the Yerevan HUD.-theatre. the Institute, from 1947 Professor. Monuments S. Spendiarov (1927) and A. Tumanyan (1957) in Yerevan, Sergey Kirov in Kirovakan (1942), sculptural portraits "of A. Melik-Pashayev" (1934), "A. Dzhivelegov" (1942), "S. Shaumyan" (1952), "E. Charents" (1957), etc.

People's artist of USSR, member of Academy of arts of the USSR is one of the founders of modern Armenian sculpture.

He was born in Constantinople (Turkey) in 1902. In 1924. Vanscoy graduated from the Academy of arts. With 1925. lived and worked in Armenia. In 1945. Sarkisian began teaching at the Yerevan fine arts and theatre Institute. Two years later he became Professor of this Institute.

Ara Sargsyan is the author of a number of portraits and decorative products, as well as many monuments that adorn the regions of Armenia.
