Biography and information

Nikolai Mikhailovich Buchanov, painter and landscape painter, was born CA. 1870 (most Likely in the family of Hereditary honorary citizen of Mikhail Yakovlevich Bocanova. Who owned until 1911 suburban village near the city of Dolgoprudny.The estate he inherited in 1885 along with the entire family archavon previous owners Benckendorff.) Lived N. M. Buchanov in Moscow. L. lass and others created in the summer of 1914 Yalta artistic-artistic circle, which century its activities were to cover not only local, but also visiting artists. It was elected Chairman V. N. Katchalov, then it was replaced by N. M. Butusov. In 1916 the club staged this house exhibitions of paintings in spring and autumn. The fall was mainly represented by watercolors; Crimean landscapes N. M. Bocanova, I. E. Krachkovsky (academician), A. L. lass, M. A., lass, E. A. Cherniavsky, V. K. Yanovsky, a young artist of M. A. Russian ("Autumn in Yalta", "Rocks", a series "Bakhchisaray"), and others."
After the revolution, I. M. Butusov becomes again the President of Vladikavkaz Association of artists (CVC). 1926 – 1928

In the Donetsk regional art Museum has two of his paintings: "Sailing boats near the shore" and "Livadia.Roses in bloom".
