Biography and information
Nikolai Mikhailovich Buchanov, painter and landscape painter, was born CA. 1870 (most Likely in the family of Hereditary honorary citizen of Mikhail Yakovlevich Bocanova. Who owned until 1911 suburban village near the city of Dolgoprudny.The estate he inherited in 1885 along with the entire family archavon previous owners Benckendorff.) Lived N. M. Buchanov in Moscow. He called himself a great artist and was quite ambitious. In correspondence (Letter of V. A. A. V. Licina Bowline ) organizers Nizhny Novgorod city art and historical Museum for 1904, we read: "Among other things, sent a picture and asked to transfer her to a Museum one unknown young artist Buciumul. I had the temerity to question this artist - he will give you a memory from the Museum of medal - answer - without a doubt. This without a doubt had arisen between me and Buzunovym correspondence quite unpleasant. If You find it possible and I will send a medal, you will free me from the trouble to get letters from vanity of the artist..". On the sidelines of the litter: "the Bronze medal was sent on 8 June 1904 N 52.
In 1914, we are already finding in the resort town of Yalta in Milyutinskaya, str, 10. –" Studio of drawing and painting N. M. Bocanova". And then add this interesting information: "in an effort to further intensify cultural life in Yalta, artists and enthusiasts of I. P. Fyodorov-Kerchensky, N. A. Giedroyc. E. D. Chernevsky-Schultz, M. A. lass, A. L. lass and others created in the summer of 1914 Yalta artistic-artistic circle, which century its activities were to cover not only local, but also visiting artists. It was elected Chairman V. N. Katchalov, then it was replaced by N. M. Butusov. In 1916 the club staged this house exhibitions of paintings in spring and autumn. The fall was mainly represented by watercolors; Crimean landscapes N. M. Bocanova, I. E. Krachkovsky (academician), A. L. lass, M. A., lass, E. A. Cherniavsky, V. K. Yanovsky, a young artist of M. A. Russian ("Autumn in Yalta", "Rocks", a series "Bakhchisaray"), and others."
After the revolution, I. M. Butusov becomes again the President of Vladikavkaz Association of artists (CVC). 1926 – 1928
The latest information about the artist appears in the book "the Zoogeographical map of the USSR" Compiled by V. V. Ermakov. Drew C. N. M. Buciumul. 1928.
In the Donetsk regional art Museum has two of his paintings: "Sailing boats near the shore" and "Livadia.Roses in bloom".
