On IV course scenic faculty (will finish on the mast. A. E. Arkhipov in 1926) was included in gr. "OBIS" (1925).
1926-28 - organizer and Chairman of the group "Art - workers" (engineers).
1929-30 - lecturer in courses in the "Shop painters"; accepted "Shop".
1931 - one of the initiators of the Society of artists (ORI).
Between 1931 and for many years taught in the Art. school of memory of 1905.

He studied at the Moscow higher art (1921 – 1926) A. E. Arkhipov.
Member and Exhibitor companies "United arts" (OBIS, 1925), society of artists to them. Ilya Repin (1928), "Workshop of painters" (1930); founding member and Chairman of the group "Art – workers" (ISTR, 1925, 1927, 1928), one of the founding members of the Association of art workers (ORI 1931 – 1932).
Laureate of Lenin Komsomol prize.
Long taught at the Moscow school of memory of 1905. In 1935 – 1938 rector of this school. Professor. He also taught at VGIK, along with Y. Pimenov.
Works are kept in the Art Fund of Russia, in many regional museums and art galleries.
