Berezhnaya N. F. - member of the Union of artists of Ukraine since 1963. The participant of Republican and international exhibitions. Personal exhibition of Nikolai Fedorovich was held in Lviv, Republic of Mali, Kiev and Nikolaev. The artist's works are in museums and galleries in the CIS countries, in the Tretyakov gallery in Moscow, the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg, and 15 museums of Ukraine.
Nikolai Fedorovich gentle was Chairman of the Board of the Nikolaev organization of the Union of artists of Ukraine from 1972 to 1991. Elected Board member of the Presidium, the Secretary of the Union of artists of Ukraine and a member of the Union of artists of the USSR. During his public works made an enormous contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture.
It gentle the first in the Nikolaev area received the title of honored art worker of Ukraine. Was awarded state awards of the USSR and Honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
