Was a student of the Academy of Arts in 1874; studied painting and sculpture. Amateur artist. (Kondakov)

He was born in Chuguev, Kharkiv oblast now. He graduated from the Kiev University. He studied painting at the L. Lagorio in St. Petersburg. He headed the Museum of V. Tarnovsky in Chernigov. Participated in exhibitions of the St. Petersburg Academy of arts, Kyiv Islands art exhibitions. In 1894 – 1896 V – VII shows TYURH in Odessa exhibited landscapes, which the artist sent from Chernigov. In 1911 – 1912 he participated in the competition for the monument to T. Shevchenko Kiev in 1919 – 1921 – Chernihiv. In 1927, in Kiev, the works exhibited at the exhibition dedicated to the memory of the Ukrainian composer N. Lysenko. In 1999, a new wave of Ukrainian art held an exhibition of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the artist. Work is stored in the HMM of Kiev and Chernigov. Most of the jobs lost during the great Patriotic war.
