Biography and information

Sculptor. Honored artist of the RSFSR. Participant 1-St world war.

Born in the village of Yelkhovka, Samara province. For the first time participated at the 21st exhibition of paintings of the Samara artists in 1914 pictorial works. In 1918-19, decorations for revolutionary festivals, clubs, cinemas, red army red corners. Since 1924 – member of the Samara society of proletarian artists (AHRR). In 1941-1952 – Chairman of the Kuibyshev branch of the Union of artists. Participant of all-Union art exhibitions.

Major works: sculptural composition "the Song of the Falcon" (1939, skhm), "Alexei Peshkov – loader" (1939, Lit. Museum. Bitter in Samara), "Mayakovsky" (1945, Museum of Mayakovsky in Moscow), "Bust of Maxim Gorky," (1951, drama theater in Samara); monumental composition "worker", "Sportwoman" (1938, the facade of the Palace of culture. Kuibysheva), "the Equestrian figure of M. V. Frunze" (1942, Zavod im. Frunze), etc.
