Notable Moscow artist of the late XIX - early XX century. Portraitist, genre painter, painted landscapes. He studied at the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture.

Participated in exhibitions of the Moscow society of art lovers (molh, 1889-1906, with interruptions), Saint-Petersburg society of artists (1896-1897), the Association of the Wanderers (as an Exhibitor for 20 (1892) and 32 (1904) the exhibition). Member molh. Was part of the "Group of artists" (exhibition 1908-11 gg.), Moscow artistic circle (exhibition 1918).

From 1888 to 1900-ies. taught at the Stroganov school of industrial art, where the led head and life classes (he, in particular, studied by P. Konchalovsky). In 1890 he taught drawing in organized molh Sunday classes.

Good, robust professional. Now his works are in the Irkutsk and Tyumen art museums.
