Grigorievich Rovensky

Russia • 1902−1996

Born in the city Sudzha Kursk province. Studied at the graphic Department of the Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1927-30). In 1932 he graduated from Moscow printing Institute.

The participant of the great Patriotic war.

Worked as art-technical and art editor in publishing houses, Izogiz, Goslitizdat, Publishing house of foreign literature. From 1952 he worked as an artist-designer of the font in the Department of new fonts of the scientific research Institute of polygraphic mechanical engineering (CPS NII poligrafmash) until retirement in 1972

Main books: H. ergaliyev "a Girl from our village" (1951), "the Theory of plasticity. Collection" (1953), etc.

II degree diploma of all-Union exhibition of books, graphics and posters for the development of the font Baranowska title (1957).

Author of several articles and memoirs about working in CPS:
