Nikolayevich Poltanov

Arrived at N. Novgorod in 1908, after graduating from the architecture class of the Higher art school Academy of arts. Took up the position of diocesan architect. Participated in the restoration of buildings of the ancient ensemble of the Makaryev-monastery of St. Macarius. In 1909 he developed the project of restoration of his Trinity Cathedral. IN N. Novgorod designs and builds the forms of the modern manor complex is residential, service and stable (Semashko str, 9). In 1914, Poltanov involved in the construction by the architects Vesnin brothers the house of the merchant and industrialist D. V. Sirotkin (V.-the Volga quay, 3) and then saves from destruction the oldest log Church of the Nizhny Novgorod Volga region - steepled Cathedral, Arzamas (1652) and organizes eg on transfer to another place in the village Kostylya. After the October revolution, Poltanov has become one of the leading local architects involved in the construction of the Nizhny Novgorod radio laboratory named after V. I.
