From 1836 supernumerary academics (retired Chief of the Department of Railways and public buildings). In 1841 – 2 silver medal. In 1847, recognized as "designated".

Educated at the Academy of arts. In 1844 was appointed to the position of assistant city architect N. Novgorod. His first major work - project, three-story stone house Builder-contractor I. Dubicki on the street Barbarian. In 1846 Stavasser builds and designs the building of the 1st orphanage (St. Krasnoflotskaya, 78). Then he continues the construction of the Red barracks at N.-Volzhsky embankment. In 1847 he submits to the Academy of arts of the competitive project and received the title of academician.
