Ermilovich Turmyshev

Russia • 1814−1856

In 1836, after graduating from the Academy of arts came to N. Novgorod for the position of assistant provincial architect. In 1838, after the resignation of Lifelines continues the construction of the complex of the military Governor's house-Palace, rebuilds the building of the provincial gymnasium. Next year my project is building a house M. Vodovozova the Annunciation in the village (Mill lane, 5). In 1841 Tormysheva appointed provincial architect. He leads the construction works in Arzamas, Balakhna, Lukoyanov, Semenov, Knyaginino and their counties. In 1845 tormyshev rebuilds two-storey stone house in sverchkova (street Sverdlova, 6), and three years designing the entrance gate to his yard with bench (room for future engraving workshop of father Sverdlov, now memorial Museum). This gate is an interesting example of the architecture of small forms. Then he plans on the square in front of the Oka bridge manor house Abamelek-Lazarev (Mayakovsky street, 46), the facade of which still retains the features of classicism. In different parts of the city, there are still built on the draft Tormysheva of the building, including building P. Ilyina (street Minina, 18).
