Biography and information

An auditor student at the Academy of fine arts. In 1843 – the title of class artist-architect for the "project of the Governor's house". In 1850 he received the title of academician (see painters).

He received his artistic education in the Imperial Academy of arts, which was a disciple of Briullov class of architecture. Graduated from the academic course in 1843 with the title of class artist of architecture, repeatedly traveled to different countries and devoted himself to watercolor perspective painting, for which in 1850 was awarded the degree of academician perspective watercolor painting for the drawings of landscapes, buildings, executed during his travels abroad.

Issued a huge number of species, interesting in the historical or artistic monuments of Constantinople, Palestine, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Spain, Algeria, southern France, etc. — drawings, wherein correct transfer of perspectives and skilful brush.
