Biography and information

An auditor student at the Academy of fine arts. Received medals: in 1859 – 2 silver for "project Arsenal" and 1 silver for "the project of a stone Orthodox Church for 2000 people"; in 1860 – 1 silver. In 1863, the title of academician.

Upon completion of the course in Gatchina orphan Institute, in 1855, enrolled as a student of the Imperial Academy of Arts and doing it, was in 1859 was awarded a small silver medal (for the project of the Arsenal) and in 1860 great the same medal (for the project of the Orthodox Church for 2000 people). Being thereupon released from the Academy with the title of the class artist, devoted himself to practical architectural activities mainly in Saint-Petersburg and its suburbs, and soon acquired a reputation as an artist, endowed with great taste and possessing thorough technical knowledge. In 1863, for the successful solution proposed by the Academy of art goals: ""to compose a draft of the anatomical Department at the medico-surgical Academy"," was recognized as an academician. Of his buildings in particular, worthy of attention: Church at the orphanage in memory of Grand Duchess Alexandra Nikolaevna in Peterhof prospect, Saint-Petersburg, the house of the sisters of mercy of the intercession of the community, the Church, galley harbour, also in St. Petersburg, the wooden Church of St. Elijah in the estate of Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolayevich the Elder , "Znamenka", near Peterhof, and the auditorium in the Red Selo.
