The son of a Royal footman. In 1821 defined in the Academy of fine arts. In 1831 – 2 silver medal. In the same year, released with the title of a free artist. In 1836 – recognized as "designated" in 1838 he was elected academician for the project "great Gostiny Dvor".

In 1867, he completed the extension to the houses of the Georgian princes (Theatre St., 3/1—3/2, not preserved).
