An auditor student at the Academy of fine arts. Received medals: in 1835 – 2 silver; in 1836 – 2 silver and 2 gold for the program: "the Project of the school of Jurisprudence". In the same year – the diploma of 1 degree to the title of the class artist. In 1845, the title of academician for "project invalid home for 25 people, in the memory of any Patriotic military events with the Church and monument...". Academician of the St. Petersburg Imperial Academy of fine Arts, c. c., senior architect of the St. Petersburg Board of Trustees. Born in 1815, Art education, sh received at the Imperial Academy of Arts, during his stay in which he received a silver medal and a gold 2-nd degree. Released in 1836, with the title of artist of the 14th class, C. in the following year received the position of assistant architect in the construction of the Church in Peterhof, a year later, however, he was appointed draughtsman at the main architect for the construction of the theater in Moscow. Then sh was an assistant architect on the building of the Church on the Aptekarsky island and the building of a new Palace in the Moscow Kremlin, in 1843, he was promoted to senior assistant architects on the iconostases of the churches of the Voskresensky monastery and in the Łazienki Park, as well as for the construction in St. Petersburg passenger station Nikolaev railway. Received in 1845 from the Academy the title of academician, sh., six years later, received the Russian citizenship, and in the same year was appointed to serve in the Cabinet of her Majesty the assistant to the architect Ton. In 1857, sh. entered the service in the St. Petersburg Board of Trustees and occupied first the post of an architect at the Patriotic Institute, and since 1864 — the senior architect of the Board of Trustees. Besides the buildings above mentioned churches and buildings, S. in person, according to his own plans, built the following buildings: almshouse behalf of the Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (Vasilievsky island, 13th line), the shelter of Prince Oldenburg (Izmailovsky Polk), obstetric institution (Nadezhdinskaya street), the Imperial card factory (c. The Alexander of the Neva), Vasileostrovsky women's gymnasium (Vasilevsky island., 9-th line), a wing for the surgical Department of the Mariinsky hospital (Liteyny Prospekt), an outbuilding and a Laundry orphanage (the red bridge).
