Student of the Academy of arts in 1883 Received medals in 1888 – 2 silver; in 1890, 1 silver; 1891 – 2 gold for the "project of the main railway station". In 1890 he graduated from the course Sciences. In 1892 – the title of class artist of 1 degree. Architect of the Academy of fine arts; architect to the Imperial court. Rebuilt the Mikhailovsky Palace into a Museum of Emperor Alexander III. The Builder called the ethnographic Department of the Museum.
