Land artist Anton Ivanovich Ivanov was born in the village of Kazakovo (near Arkhangelsk), Vladimir province. In childhood, fate brought him to painters — brothers.GN G. and G. G. Chernozemye. They were the first and main teachers aspiring to freedom and arts boys (1833-1839). In 1838, Ivanov, accompanying the brothers on the Volga from Rybinsk to Astrakhan, wrote his first extant picture "view of the workshop of brothers Chernetsov on the boat in their journeys along the Volga in 1838," which (and all subsequent) was distinguished by the fidelity of the image. Next came the painting "View of the Volga in the Zhiguli mountains," "Thunder in the mountains Sokovsky on the Volga" (both 1839), "the View of the village vinnovka on the Volga in Simbirsk" (1840), "Crossing N. In. Gogol across the Dnieper" (1845), "a Ferry across the Volga in Simbirsk" (1846). At the time of writing the last of these paintings in his life, A. I.
