The Pupil Of Thorvaldsen. In 1841 caused by to Russia to work in the Palace of Grand. Knyagini Maria Nikolaevna. In 1845 St. Petersburg. Academy of Arts the title of class artist for the bas-relief "Chiron teaching Achilles archery". In 1845 started the first Russian terrecotte institution. In 1857 the title of academician of the bas-relief "Achilles drags Hector's body". In 1868 - the title of Professor for the statue of "Diana". (Kondakov)

He studied at the Royal Academy of arts in Copenhagen. From 1841 he worked in St. Petersburg.

Academician (1857), the Professor (1868) AH. In 1845 he founded (together with

I. I. Reimers) the first in Russia workshop for the production of sculptures

and decorative items of terracotta for the decoration of buildings. Among the works:

the bas-reliefs in the interiors of the Mariinsky Palace; the Atlantes on the facade

Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace; 18 statues on the façade and bas-reliefs in

the interiors of the New Hermitage (1847-1850, street Halturina, 35); reliefs and

the ornaments of the House's interior Ministry

The Peter and Paul fortress, a monument to Y. V. Willie (1859; street
