In 1963-1968 he studied at the Palekh art school. Since 1968 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops.
Themes of works: folklore, genre scenes. The work of S. A. bogatikova are stored in museums: the State Museum of Palekh art, the Ivanovo OC.
