Born in Palekh. Hereditary painter, son of V. V. Zhegalova. In 1948 he graduated from the Palekh art school in 1951, the Moscow art-industrial school. In the years 1951-1988 taught at the Palekh art school. Died in 1992, buried in Palekh. Themes of works: folklore, literature.
