Born in the town of Shuya, Ivanovo region. In the years 1969-1976 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - V. I. Golov. In 1976-1989 he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops.
Was engaged in monumental painting (kindergarten in the city of Obninsk, Kaluga region (1989-1990), Elias Church in the city of Ivanovo). Themes of works: folklore. Participant of exhibitions since 1978.
