Born in Palekh. Hereditary painter, son of V. P. Petrov. Scholarship of the international charity program "New names" (1994). In 1976-1981, he studied at the Palekh art school. In 1981-1989, he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. Since 1989 he has worked in the cooperative "Association of artists of Palekh". Themes of works: folklore, literature. Participant of exhibitions since 1988.A. V. Petrov is stored in HF Russia.
