Born in the village of Sergino Palekh district, Ivanovo region. In 1974-1979 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teacher - V. I. Astakhov, A. V. Gordeev, Y. V. Zhegalov. In 1979-1989, he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. Themes of works: folklore, literature. Participant of exhibitions since 1990.
