Biography and information
Born in the village Zhurihina Ivanovo region. In the years 1955-1961 he studied at the Palekh art school. Teachers - A. V. Borunov, D. N. Butorin. In 1957-1987, he worked at the Palekh art-production workshops. Died 21 Nov 1987, buried in Palekh.
Themes of works: folklore, literature. Participated in exhibitions since 1985. The works by V. A. Smirnov are in museums: the State Museum of Palekh art, the Ivanovo regional art Museum.
