Born in Palekh. The younger brother of N..Surkov. In 1944-1949, he studied at the Palekh art school. Since 1949 he worked in the Association of Palekh artists. Died in 1974, buried in Palekh. Themes of works: folklore, literature. The work of L. A. Surkov is stored in HF Russia.
