Biography and information
Born 24 October (5 November) 1899, in Palekh. In 1900-1906, he studied in the icon painting workshop.GN M.Safonova. Since 1930 he worked in the Artel of ancient painting. Died June 30, 1945, buried in Palekh.
Miniatures D. M. Turin were distinguished by originality of composition skills, a great sense of color. Themes of works: folklore, literature, genre scenes, portraits, hunting modern. Participated in exhibitions since 1933. The work of D. M. Turin are kept in museums: gmpi, Umgeni, OC Ivanovo, Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin "Moika 12", the DEM.
