Born on 1 (13) Jul 1893 in Palekh. He studied at the educational workshops of the Committee of guardianship of Russian iconography. Member of artel of ancient painting since 1932. Died in 1943, buried in Palekh.
Themes of works: literature, genre scenes and modern. Participated in exhibitions since 1933. The works of A. D. Khokhlova are stored in museums: the State Museum of Palekh art, the all-Russian Museum of decorative-applied and folk art.
