Fedorovich Chalunin

Born in the village Back Pestyaki district Ivanovo-Voznesensk province. Honored artist of the RSFSR (1974). Member of the Union of artists of Russian Federation since 1950. In 1938 he graduated from the Palekh art school. Teacher - A. V. Kotuhin. Since 1939 worked at the Association of Palekh artists. The participant of the great Patriotic war. Fought on the Kalinin front, he was wounded and contused. In 1942 he returned to Palekh. Died 20 Feb 1980, buried in Palekh.

Was engaged in monumental painting (children's garden in Volgograd, boarding schools in Anzhero-Sudzhensk and the village of Bavtugay, Dagestan ASSR, the Palace of pioneers in Yaroslavl, a cinema "Ruslan" in the town of Pushkin of the Leningrad region (1971-1972)), stage design (the play "Red dyavolyata" Moscow drama theatre. N. In.Gogol (1960-1961)), book illustration. Themes of works: folklore, history, literature, genre scenes, threesomes, battle. Participated in exhibitions since 1939. The work of P. F. Jalunina are stored in museums: gmpi, GRM, MNI, GMER, all-Russian Museum of A. S. Pushkin, Pgaas.
