Ivan
Egorovich Shchukin

Born in the village Dark of the Perm region. A member of the artists Union of the RSFSR since 1971. In 1948-1953 he studied at the Palekh art school. In 1953-1984, he worked at the Association of Palekh artists (1954 - Palekh art-production workshops). In 1962 graduated from the Moscow polygraphic Institute. In 1976-1980 he taught at the Palekh art school. Died in 1990, buried in Palekh.

Was engaged in book illustration, design cards. Themes of works: folklore, literature. Uchastvoval in exhibitions since 1963. I. E. Shchukin are in museums: gmpi, Pgaas, HF Russia.
