Biography and information

Ukrainian and Polish painter. He studied at the Munich Ludwig Herterich OH and Carl Marr – famous alumni of the Paris Academy Julien. After 1900 he settled in Rome, where he moved to Lviv in 1907. Wrote genre scenes, Nudes, landscapes (mainly by sea) and religious works. Also created designs for stained glass, studied interior design and wall paintings.

Polish painter, genre painter, marine painter. In 1893, having received an art scholarship, went to Munich, where he studied at Herterich and L. K. von Marr. Further study in Paris and work in Rome. In 1906, in search of new subjects for his paintings, went to Egypt, where he created a series of works that attract attention with their original, exotic subjects and vibrant saturated color. In 1907 returned to Lviv. Working for the Polish weekly "Wкdrowiec", Russian and German magazines. During the First world war and the Civil war traveling in Russia. In 1925, returned to Lvov to live according to the idea from Anatole France - "...at their pleasure."
