He studied at St. Petersburg Academy of arts (1889 – 1894). In 1893 he received a second silver medal, 1895 – the title of class artist of 3 degrees; 1898 - the title of the artist for the painting "Skull of the enemy." In 1897 – 1902 and lived and worked in Orenburg, where he was a member of "Orenburg t society of lovers of the arts." In 1903 he took part in the XXXI exhibition as an Exhibitor TPHV. In the 1920 – 1930s he lived and worked in Central Asia (Tashkent, Frunze), taught at the local art schools.
