Born in Warsaw in the family of famous painter-decorator, Antoniego. From 1872 he studied at Warsaw drawing class under the guidance of V. Gerson. Received a scholarship from the Polish Kingdom to study in St. Petersburg Academy of arts (1875 – 1879). In 1875 he was awarded a small silver medal for full-scale Studio, in 1877 and 1878 – small silver medals for drawings from nature. From 1880 to 1882 he studied at the Munich Academy of arts. He painted portraits, historical and genre scenes.
