Ilich Voronikhin

(nephew of Andrei Nikiforovich Voronikhin, architect of the Kazan Cathedral, the Mining Institute). From 1801 studied at the Academy of fine arts, has been repeatedly awarded for achievements. Received medals : in 1802 –a small silver, in 1811, – a small gold for the work "campaign for the Kazan Tsar Ivan Vasilievich," in 1812 – a gold and a diploma of 1st degree for the program "Minin Nizhny Novgorod". From 1815 he began work at the Imperial porcelain factory, first assistant chief model, and from 1824 – chief model. Author VAZ f. "The Empire", f. "Crater", one of his best works bears his name.
