Student of the Academy of Arts from 1873 till 1885, Received medals: in 1877 - 2 silver; in 1879 - 2 silver; in 1884 - two 1 silver; in 1885 - the title of class artist of 3 degrees. (Kondakov)

The son of a famous circle of artists of the academic model Taras Mikhailov. He studied at the Acad. hood. in 1884; received two large silver. medals for drawing and picturesque sketch; in the same year left the Academy "for family reasons". The first experience of engraving strong vodka performed in 1886 (Rovinsky)
