Born in the village of Krasnojar Altai region. From 1960 to 1962 and from 1965 to 1968 he studied at the Irkutsk art school of the decorative Department at G. V. Antsiferov and G. V. Kazakova. Since 1967 worked in the Irkutsk creative workshops with HF RSFSR. In 1980 - 1982 he was a chief artist of the city of Angarsk. A member of the artists Union of the USSR since 1980
