Semenovich Osokin (Asokin)

Russia • born in 1801

The son of the Moscow provincial Secretary. In 1809 he enrolled in an Educational school at the Academy of fine arts. In 1815, defined in the class of historical painting. Received medals: in 1821 - 2 silver; in 1822 - 1 silver; in 1823 - 2 silver; in 1824 - 2 gold for the program "Trojan king Priam asking Achilles the body of his son Hector"; the diploma of 1 degree. Lithographed by orders of the society. For the same under A. G. Venetsianov was engaged in coloring of the prints with oil paints. In 1831 received the title of artist of the 14th class.
