The artist-restorer of the highest qualification the Vologda state historical-architectural Museum - reserve.
Nikolai works in the Vologda Museum - reserve in 1943. Member of the Union of artists of Russia. The first serious work is to develop unique ornamental paintings of the Treasury corps (the XVII century), Vologda Kremlin. In the 1950-ies N.And. Fedyshin successfully trained in leading restoration facilities in the country - GRC them. Academician I. E. Grabar and research Institute of restoration and in 1968 received the title of restorer of the highest qualification. Has the security clearance to work on the unique monuments of national art.
The paper uses modern methods of research of monuments and their restoration. For 45 years the Museum they returned to life more than 100 works of ancient art, which is important for studying the history of art culture of the Vologda region. Participated in restoration of frescoes of St. Sophia Cathedral and the Church of St. John the Baptist in Vologda.
