Nikolayevna Glazunova (Gromyko)

By profession an artist. In June 1922 in Pskov secretly got married by the Church's marriage to the famous Russian composer Alexander Glazunov (1865 - 1936). For a long time, Glazunov had concealed the fact of marriage because of the desire of spouses to emigrate from the Soviet Union, which happened in 1928. After the death of A. K. Glazunov took secret monastic vows with the name Alexander. Shortly before his death, she took the schema, keeping the same name of Alexander. The head of the ROCA mission in Jerusalem Archimandrite Anthony was not given permission to bury the nun at the cemetery in Russian Gethsemane because of its adherence to the Moscow Patriarchate. M. Alexander was buried in the valley of the Mother of God in the cemetery, belonging to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Since the late 70-ies of the cemetery came into full desolation and decay, it was reported that his territory was sold. Twice restored the ruined stove, and a marble cross on the grave of shimonahinya Alexandra, but were again destroyed. May 10, 2000, the mortal remains of shimonahinya reburied in the cemetery in the garden of Gethsemane at the Church of Mary Magdalene.
