Was born in Moscow. He studied at the Moscow technological Institute in the Department of "Artistic design of fabrics and products from them" (1964-1968). Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1975.
Participant of art exhibitions since 1969. The artist's works are exhibited at the all-Russian, interregional, regional exhibitions. Personal exhibition of textile art and graphics held in Vologda (1988, 1993), Yaroslavl (1994), Veliky Ustyug (1988).
Lives and works in Vologda since 1969. The works are in Vologda regional art gallery, Museum-reserves and museums of local lore of the Vologda region, private collections in Russia and abroad.
The artist works in the field of artistic textiles in the art of tapestry, free of fabric painting, hot and cold batik; deals with graphics in the technique of charcoal drawing in the genres of landscape, still life, thematic composition. Major works: tapestry "August", "January" (1985), a series of painting on fabric "Russian tiles" (1991), "Winter in Vologda" (1991), "Flowers and temples" (1993), "traces of past eras" (1993), the series of drawings "Old Vologda" (1987 - 1988), "Flowers of oblivion" (1991), "the Iconographic composition"/1991/.
