Chervinka

Chervinko (Cervinka) Ivan Ivanovich (1891-after 1950), painter. In 1918 he entered the Vitebsk people's art College. One of the first members of UNOVIS. In 1922, when most of the active members of UNOVIS went to Petrograd or Moscow, remained in Vitebsk, taught drawing at school in the suburbs of Vitebsk. In 1923, the paintings of hudodzhnikom was presented at the "Exhibition of paintings of Petrograd hudognikov all directions" in the section of UNOVIS. Cervinka collected documents of UNOVIS and the work of its members. The artist's works are extremely rare in the antique market.
UNOVIS ("Affirmative new art") - the avant-garde artistic Association created by K. S. Malevich in Vitebsk. Its members included V. Ermolaeva, N. Suetin and El Lissitzky, Ilya Chashnik, J. Cervinka, etc.
