He was born in novogeorgievsk was under the Warsaw lips. (now Kirovohrad region of the Ukrainian SSR). From 1921 to 1922 he studied at army art Studio of Tomsk garrison club under the political education of subpolitical J. V. Khazova, from 1925 to 1930 - in the Irkutsk art Studio, the Studio of I. L. Kopylov. Repeatedly consulted in Moscow, K. N. Istomin and V. P. Kuznetsov (1930, 1932, 1933). A member of the artists Union of the USSR from 1937 To 1942 and 1945 he was elected Chairman of the Irkutsk organization CX RSFSR. He has government awards.
