In 1975 he graduated from Irkutsk regional art College where he studied in the art Department the teachers of the L. D. Kuklis, M. D. Voron'ko, A. G. Kotovskogo etc. In 1985 he graduated from the St. Petersburg state academic Institute of painting, sculpture and architecture named after I. E. Repin, faculty of theory and history of fine arts, where he studied with L. A. Punina, V. A. Lenyashin, R. I. Vlasova, N. With.Kuteynikovo etc. Since 1989 - member of Union of artists of Russia. Candidate of historical Sciences, the author of the book "Artists of Irkutsk" (1994, Eastern-Siberian book publishing house). In 1996 - admitted as a member of the International Association of art critics AIS.
