Born in the city of Chelyabinsk. From 1968 to 1972 he studied at the Irkutsk art College, ceramic Department at B. T. Bychkov, from 1976 to 1982 - in the Ural state University. A. M. Gorky, faculty of history and theory of fine art. From 1972 to 1980 lived and worked in the city of Angarsk. In 1980 - 1987 worked in Irkutsk at the creative production plant HF RSFSR. CPSU member since 1974 Member of the USSR Union since 1981
