S. Swan was born in Vyatka region.
Graduated, finished the art school (1948-1957). Worked primarily in the genre. Author of paintings dedicated to the rural way of life. Member of the Union of artists of Russia since 1962. Since 1957, the constant participant of regional exhibitions. Exhibitor of zonal ("Great Volga", 1964, 1967, 1970, 1974), Republican (Moscow, 1960, 1965, 1970), all-Union (Moscow, 1961) art exhibitions.
