He studied at the Vitebsk folk art school. Worked in the Studio M. Z. Chagall, then moved to V. M. Ermolaeva and K. S. Malevich. Participated in 1st state exhibition of paintings by local and Moscow artists in Vitebsk, 1919. Member Of UNOVIS.
