Gavrilovich Sukhorovsky

An Austrian national, was born in 1840 in Galicia, in 1858, entered the disciples of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts and received her sketches from nature three silver medals (in 1863, 1865 and 1866). Released from the Academy in 1868 with the title of artist 3rd degree, and in 1872 was promoted to the artists of the 1st degree. In 1874, he was an academician for the portrait of Mrs. Galitzine, etc. she paints mainly female portraits, but became known to the mass audience with their images of naked beauties and showing them in Russia and abroad at individual exhibitions in a spectacular fire lighting with the addition of real accessories that are suitable to the plot. These were pictures of "Nana", "Mary Magdalene", "Dream" and "Prisoner in the harem."

In 1902 he opened classes for both sexes in SPb.
