Class artist I degree in painting, was born in 1851 in Oakville, died in 1886 in Rome; coming from the state of the peasants of Kostroma province he began to paint self-taught; in 1871 he entered volnoslushayuschego to the Academy of Arts, and in 1872 to the disciples, after which he received a silver medal for sketches and drawings from nature: two small in 1874, two large in 1875 and 1878 and in 1879 a small gold for the program "Christ and the sinner", and in 1880 went to Italy. He participated in exhibitions: Academic year 1877 and 1879 — portraits in the national 1882 in Moscow — the above program, two sketches of the man and the girls and four Italian species, mobile in the Academic 1886 in Odessa, 1887 in Kharkov and Yekaterinburg — the two sketches from Spoletto and picture "Thinking about eternity".
