Was born in Novosibirsk. In 1971 he graduated from Leningrad higher art-industrial school im. Mukhina. Worked as an artist-decorator in the Lenfilm studios, art Director and costume designer for Leningrad television, 1984 - art Director of film Studio "Lenfilm". Also works as an interior designer.
Laureate of the State prize of Russia (2001).
