June 20, 1957, Ivanovo — 20 September 2002, Karmadonskom gorge (North Ossetia)

In 1979 he graduated from the Tula Pedagogical Institute, faculty of chemistry and biology. Worked as a school teacher, a graphic designer, a stagehand at the theatre. Until 1988 he lived in Tula, 30 August 1988, he moved to Leningrad. Allegedly killed on 20 September 2002, together with the crew of the film "the Messenger" (dir. S. Bodrov) in the vanishing of the Kolka glacier in the Karmadon gorge in North Ossetia. Officially considered missing.

Led the Tula group of artists of "August". After moving to Leningrad became part of the group "Island". Had several solo and joint with Alexander Kartashov exhibitions in Tula, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg. Paintings are in private collections in Russia, Germany, UK, Japan, USA. The first work in the movie "the Castle" (dir. Alexei Balabanov). Worked on such films as "Brother", "Post", "peculiarities of national fishing" and others.
