Vasilyevich Bitkin

Russia • born in 1919

A Native Of Penza. He graduated from the PHU (1948) and the higher school of industrial art (1954), where he studied with V. I. Ingal. Thesis – sculpture "Archer". The author of the tombstone of the writer A. A. Fadeev (1958). Participant of exhibitions (since 1960). Among his best works are sculptural busts: "Portrait of M. I. Kutuzov" (1958), "Portrait of Hero of the Soviet Union, Colonel N. A. Prokopiuk" (1959), "Portrait Of V. I. Lenin" (1963). Taught at MHTU (1962). In Kalah cast only one of his group of sculptures – "Ivan Ivanovich with Ivan Nikiforovich" (1960).
